Batmobile in latest video game
The latest Arkham Knight Batmobile is inspired by a 1989 movie. It has heavily armored exterior, and being easily capable to withstanding automatic fire from an assault rifle, and a grenade launcher blast, with no ill effect on its performance.
Designed specifically for the 1989 Batman film, during production, Anton Furst looked at jet aircraft components, war machines, and other such vehicles in their search to produce a car for an edgier, darker Batman than what was previously seen. In the end, and opting for pure expressionism, the production crew took design ques from the Salt Flat Racers of the 1930s and the Sting Ray macho machines of the 1950s to produce a veritable tank of a car.
The scene in Batman of the Batmobile making its way to the Batcave was partially filmed using a remote controlled Batmobile model that was driven through a miniaturized forest set.
When Jay Ohrberg built the Six Flags versions of the Batmobile, he narrowed their rear quarters by about 4" on each side to allow the car to be transported easier as the width of the original Batmobile's hind quarters caused the wheels to hang over the side of a typical transport truck.
The concept of the Batmobile shedding its shell to reveal a smaller escape vehicle was later used in The Dark Knight. After the Tumbler was catastrophically damaged by The Joker, it folded and jettisoned the parts around its two front wheels into an escape vehicle that was called the Batpod.

Why are our sets so costly?
The price of MOC design Lego sets is mainly determined by the cost of the LEGO® in each set, plus a mark-up for our design and labor. We can't manufacture Lego bricks to lower the cost, and we don't get a discount from Lego to make this limited sets. Like everyone else, we must buy LEGO® bricks on the on the open market. LEGO® bricks are NOT cheap particularly in many unique bricks necessary for many of our design.
On top of that, the amount of bricks we use on each design is typically 2-3 times more than those offered on the market. In terms of cost per brick, our sets are much lower than many offered on to market.
The large brick count in each set means our sets are not only better in accurate size, but also much better in interior and exterior detail. You can easily spot the many attractive , immersed level of detail in our sets. Also, most of our sets are shipped pre-assembled, meaning you can almost play with them right away when you recived that. You don't need to bother building the very big MOC sets before you can play with them. ( which will take some time ). This takes a lot more labour hour , but we think this is worth it.
But if you prefer to build it yourself, you can also contact us first!
